10 iPhone 2.0 applications you can’t live without

Apple has officially launched the App Store which will allow users to browse and buy applications for their iPhone 3G as well as the previous one by updating it. There are over 500 applications available on iTunes apps store. A quarter of them are free and any iPhone owner would certainly like to use them. However most applications are paid but we have created a list of iPhone applications that any iPhone owner must have.

Remote : It allows you to control the music on your computer or Apple TV. You can search your entire iTunes library and play the desired music on Wi-Fi network. You can also pause, skip and shuffle while it also allows you to control Air Tunes speakers. Free.

OmniFocus : This application received the gold for best iPhone productivity application and a close look at the features is enough to get the idea about its prowess. It lets you create to do lists and task management. For instance, if you have made an entry of buying bread in your Omnifocus to- do list then it will automatically inform you whenever you’ll get close to the location of some bakery. It also syncs with your Mac through your MobileMe.This $19.99 application deserves to be in your iPhone. You can also use another app called EverNote which is similar to OmniFocus and is free. My money is on OmniFocus though.

Twitterific : It lets you tweet from your iPhone on twitter. Do I really need to say why it’s so important? Free. Actually twitterific also has a premium version which doesn’t show ads and has got one theme with a mini browser to let you surf the web links.

File Magnet : This $4.99 application makes your iPhone act like a storage device which will allow you to copy files your Mac and view them on your iPhone and iPod Touch. It supports many common file types like PDF’s,Microsoft Office documents, folders, movies and music. You can share files from your iPhone to Mac or vice versa by running File Magnet uploader on your Mac in aWi-Fi network.

Shozu : It is a beast among image sharing applications. Shozu can upload your captured images on iPhone to over 40 popular websites like flickr, vox, photobucket, blogger, wordpress and many more. You can also send images to particular email apart from a website. Moreover, Shozu will help you to create blog entries and post comments too. Free.

Telegram : This is another communication utility and you can send your voice messages to another user with it. Its not just limited to phones so your messages can also be received on email. It works on Wi-Fi and cellular network while you’ll have to shell out $9.99 for this. The price includes one year subscription and you will have to renew it after an year.

Facebook : Come on, kill yourself if you have are making any exclamation mark with your face. You can do almost all the things with this Facebook application which you otherwise do on your PC’s. It has been developed by Facebook guys and they are saying that more updates will be added soon. Free. There is a similar application for Myspace too but I don’t prefer Myspace.

AIM : It will let you stay connected to your friends on AIM network which includes AOL, AIM, ICQ, .mac or MobileMe. Free.

NetNewsWire : This is a RSS reader for iPhone and it has been developed by NewsGator technologies.You can read your favorite weblogs and websites and let you save posts you want to read later using Clipping feature.

Tuner : This is a radio application on iPhone which will let you listen to more than 500 streams. Other than that you can also create bookmarks and new streams. Another similar application is Allradio which lets you listen to more than 2000 streams but it lacks features. Tuner costs $4.99 while AllRadio is a dollar less.
