3 Freeware Uninstallers for Mac

Published in MAC Applications by sushaantu

Uninstalling programs on a Mac is definitely a breeze but it leaves behind configuration files which are not easy to delete so a third party application is a nice idea. You can manually delete the configuration files if you know the file type but many people prefer the uninstallers in Windows which remove data from registry and keep the system clean.

Following are few third party uninstallers you might want to try before dragging that program from Applications folder to Trash.

  1. AppCleaner is free macware which clean all the unwanted files along with the uninstallation of a particular software. It is also as easy as dragging and dropping and it also keeps history of all the files hich have been deleted or uninstalled. AppCleaner also saves your favorite applications from accidental uninstallation.
  2. AppDelete does the same thing as AppCleaner but is more simple in its approach. It knows only one thing and that is uninstalling the leftovers along with the application. AppDelete finds the related files and delete it leaving your system clean.
  3. AppTrap is another freeware which works in the background and keeps your system free from any unrelated file without you having to do anything. It is pretty straightforward in its function and does not boast of unnecessary features but the only worry with this uninstaller is that you never know what files are being deleted since it works in background.
