In conjunction with (RED), an initiative founded by U2 front man Bono and Bobby Shriver to raise awareness and money for The Global Fund, Sprint has today launched a special edition red Motorola RAZR V3m.
The Global Fund is a project created to finance a dramatic turnaround in the fight against AIDS in Africa, and Motorola is the exclusive worldwide wireless partner for (RED), whose aim is to assist The Global Fund. Working with (RED), the red Motorola RAZR V3m is the first in a series of products to be released in the US to benefit The Global Fund.
“Motorola is honored to be associated with (RED), The Global Fund, and now Sprint in the drive to help those in Africa affected by HIV/AIDS,” said Ron Garriques, president of Motorola Mobile Devices.
“Together, we are literally placing in people’s hands the opportunity to get involved in a meaningful way.”

The red Motorola RAZR V3m features a 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and a microSD memory card slot, and will be available packaged with a red headset starting in early November for US$304.99, or US$64.99 with a two-year service agreement and a mail-in rebate. Customers can register at www.sprint.com/RED to be informed when the red RAZR is available.
