With the World Economy facing a big time low this season, Internet Giants like Google have every reason to shred their veil of shyness over certain financial issues. The past two weeks have seen a lot of major changes & upgradations in the Google’s monetary & ecommerce services. Google has been constantly expanding its adsense & other ecommerce programs to several new locations which were not been tapped so far.

So far we have seen two new features/upgrades in the Google adsense viz. Google Adsense for Games & Click-To-Buy buttons on Youtube. Now Google has come up with another way of tapping the potential in its inhouse products such as Google Maps. Suddenly it came to our notice that text ads are appearing at the bottom of Google maps. The Google Maps service is a free online mapping service from Google which was ad-free so far.

It seems that suddenly Google has finally realized the vast amount of potential lying in Google Maps, which generated 131 million unique visits in the month of August, 2008(source: comScore).
