Alcatel has launched two of their latest entry-level devices called the OT-707 and the OT-800. But despite the fact of being entry-level handsets, these two phones seem interesting and will surely sell well in lower budget cellphone buyers, these phones are I would say still cost effective, especially when you are getting a touch screen or a QWERTY keyboard mobile phone in that price.

The Alcatel OT-707 is actually the company’s first touch screen device measuring about 95 x 53 x 13mm in rounded case. It supports dual-band GSM/GPRS connectivity and will have 2.3-inch TFT display of 240 x 320 pixels and 262k colors, 1.3-megapixel camera, music player, FM Radio, Bluetooth with A2DP and 10MB of internal memory that is expandable to2GB via microSD card slot.
However the Alcatel OT-808 is the company’s first mobile phone to have a full QWERTY Keyboard with a dimension of about 111×58x14mm. It holds the same screen resolution as to that of the 0T-707 at 240×320 pixels with 26k colors and will have sports a tri-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE Connectivity. It also sports Fm Radio with RDS, Opera Mini and 2 mega-pixel camera.
The Alcatel OT-707 will retail for about €100 or $126, while the Alcatel OT-800 is expected to retail for €95 or $120. No word yet on its release date but this is expected to arrive sooner than expected.
