Samsung Impression And Samsung Magnet

Samsung announced not only the Samsung Propel Pro Smartphone at CTIA 2009, it’s also announced another two full Keyboard smartphones, Samsung Impression SGH-A877 and Magnet SGH-A257. Both offer full keyboards for easy messaging and e-mail.

The Samsung Impression is the first commercially available AMOLED (active-matrix organic light-emitting diode) phone in the United States according to AT&Twhich result in a bright and clear screen. It offers a candy-bar design with a large 3.2 inch touch-screen display. Tip the impression on its side and slide it up to expose the full keyboards. It looks spacious enough and it offers arrow keys for navigating through the menus.

Other features include a 3 megapixel camera, a full HTML browser, Bluetooth, Samsung’s TouchWiz interface, 3G support with access to cellular video and AT&T Music, a personal organizer, AT&T Navigator and a speakerphone. The Samsung is a touchscreen phone on the outside, all buttons on the inside. On sale for $199.99 pay $249.99 and after mail-in rebate, receive a $50 AT&T.

The Samsung Magnet is a low-end bar-shaped device that will appeal to teens who need a low-cost, quick messaging phone. It comes in a standard candy bar design in bright orange. Features of the Samsung Magnet include a full keyboard, 2.0 megapixel camera and access to Instant Messaging, Mobile Email, AT&T Music and the mobile Internet. Featuring only a WAP browser, the Magnet does not offer support for regular websites.

Pricing and availability for the Magnet were not available on Monday, but the Impression will be available April 7 for $200.
