Blackberry Application Suite from RIM almost ready for release. BlackBerry Application Suite which allows a Windows Mobile device to run the BlackBerry operating system as an application.
Approximately 32 MB in size, the suite is based on OS 4.2.1 and can be programmed to boot up as soon as Windows Mobile boots up. Among the functions of BlackBerry Application Suite Customer BlackBerry Email (supports attachments), IM-client (Gtalk, Yahoo IM, AIM, Windows Live), support for Blackberry PIN messages and BlackBerry Messenger, BlackBerry browser, working with BlackBerry Internet Service 2.4 and BlackBerry Enterprise Server, and so on.
While working in the BlackBerry OS users can access files Windows Mobile, but the reverse is impossible. Most applications can be installed BlackBerry but can be problems with the resolution of VGA. Moreover, it is not supported by video and working with such hardware as GPS and Bluetooth.
Features like GPS, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi cannot work because the suite doesn’t have access to them. Phone calls can’t be made through the suite so all calls are routed through Windows Mobile. Video playback is not supported some applications may not work properly on devices with VGA resolution.
