RIM has now given the BlackBerry Kickstart a descriptive name and will be launched  before BlackBerry Javelin. A Rogers network product sheet has confirmed this that the use of Kickstart was only a codename and that the final phone will ship as the Pearl 8220.

It is successor to the Pearl 8100 series. This news coming from Canada, it will be available in september on Rogers which also suggests similar time line for its launch in US, approximately for $50. It is expected that T-Mobile will release Pearl 8220 first in US, most likely on a two-year plan.

Blackberry Javelin is expected to be available by late November or early December. Javelin is being seen as a replacement of the the Curve at T-Mobile, this one will include HotSpot@Home Wi-Fi calling, and will have 480×320 screen and GPS. Pricing is unknown yet but will be lesser than Bold, as it doesn’t have 3G support.
