The BlackBerry Niagara 9630 has made the headlines quite a few times over the past couple of days, yet this time it seems that there are some more real pieces of information on the handset. To be more specific, a pre-released device has made it into the wild, so it has already been caught both on the camera and on some videos.

The New Device seems to be some sort of a mash-up between RIM’s BlackBerry Bold, BlackBerry Curve 8900 and BlackBerry Storm, as it features the same keyboard style as Bold with no spaces between the keys and “guitar frets” between the rows. The 9630′S display is the same as Curve 8900 as is the layout and type of ports or buttons around the perimeter of the device.
And with the 9630 being a world phone, under the battery cover ‘guts’ are basically the same as the Blackberry Storm in terms of processor and radios. The layout and the ports or buttons around the device are also reported to be in the same style as Curve 8900’s. When it comes to Storm, Niagara comes with the same 528MHz processor and similar radios.
Niagara 9630 is also expected to feature a 3.2-megapixel camera, a small form factor, although not as small as Curve, an LCD screen able to provide a 480 x 360 pixel resolution and the aforementioned QWERTY keyboard.
The Blackberry Niagara they had was running OS 4.7.1.10 which is basically a dummy phone equivalent but apparently the hardware has been finalised and Research In Motion is mass producing. We have a video below of the Blackberry 9630 Niagara hardware overview for your enjoyment.
