Boxcloud - Another File Sharing Medium

Published in Internet, Web 2.0 by Aditi Tuteja

boxcloud.jpgAs we all know email is a pain, when you want to send across large files. Online storage solutions have size restrictions and storage on servers is not cut for your pocket. BoxCloud enables you to share files straight from your hard drive making your file sharing faster and without any size restrictions.

BoxCloud is a dead simple way for sharing files with people you know. Without having to perform any e -mailing or uploading.

It allows you to download content directly from another user’s machine and does not store any private user content itself. The only catch is that it requires the other user has to be online at the same time, for the two of you to share files.

BoxCloud’s drag and share functionality makes sharing files a snap through a small application you install on your desktop. You decide what to share and with whom. Once shared, people can then access your files using a regular browser - they don’t need to download or configure anything. The web-based interface is so simple even your granny will use it.

And it just gets better; you can share as many files with as many people as you wish. There are never any file size or storage restrictions. The only restriction, in this case would be the size of your hard drive. Your content always stays local on your machine which means you never have to wait for long upload times. Plus, the best way to guarantee privacy is managing and storing your own data.
