Facebook profiles screened in job interviews

Employers all across the world are banning the use of social networking sites like Facebook, but an interesting news has come that an increasing number of organizations use theses websites as recruitment resource. For reference check!!

This is based on a survey report which was conducted by UK recruitment firms Crone Corkill and FSS, it states that 7.5 per cent of employers are using social networking sites as an informal part of the referencing process.

This percentage figure is expected to rise now that Facebook profiles can be viewed on search engines like Google.

For most employers this is working as an additional tool, which simplifies the process to determine candidates where abouts and if they are making right choice. This brings benefit to the recruiter.

This seems to be true as any social networking profile can give that personal insight into someone’s character that cannot be judged by a Curriculum Vitae.
