No matter how much I try to resist my temptation for writing about Firefox, something happens every time that compels me to break my self imposed resistance and write about Firefox again. It’s not that I don’t like Firefox but it’s the other way round because I love Firefox so much that it is becoming an obsession. So we have two stories about Mozilla Firefox today. One is about the Mozilla Mobile web browser which I am going to write bout now while the other story is regarding a news extension in Mozilla Labs called Geode which does something about geolocation. Ankur has posted a story on Geode here.
The CEO of Mozilla, John Lilly has confirmed in an interview with Mercury News that Firefox is making a web browser for mobile phones. Firefox lovers have been waiting for the mobile version of Firefox for a long time now and other web browsers like Safari and Opera have utilized this absence of Firefox to their benefit. We will now see the alpha version of Firefox Mobile (codenamed Fennec) in few weeks from now. The exact date of release is not known yet.
Guys, we will soon have something to play with.
