1½x RAM?

I'm full of questions today!

My m/c has 4GB RAM fitted, but Vista reports 6GB. Can anyone explain
why?

I'd recheck those memory stick labels.

My BIOS does report 4Gig. I was wondering whether Vista comes with
MS-DOS style 'Memdoubler'
