1394 adapter & network bridge

Posted: 06-12-2006, 03:29 PM
After installing Vista, it takes out my 1394 network adapter and the network
bridge, causing me to lose internet connectivity immediately. It says the
device won't work until I get an upgraded driver from the manufacturer. The
device properties say the manufacturer is Microsoft.

This happens whether I do an upgrade to XP Pro with a working internet
connection or as a clean install. I have an Alienware with an Intel Pro 1000
netowrk adapter.

I can connect to my home network, just can't seem to get out to the internet.
