1394 device not identified after updates -pt2

but there's no driver to uninstall/reinstall or update...
(i thought that was the whole point of 1394/firewire/i.link)

and the exact same config works on the exact same machine 2 feet to the
left, which simply doesn't have any of the updates applied to it yet.


-Does anyone have an idea as to which update "broke" the identification of a
Sony 1394/i.link/firewire connected camcorder? Or of a solution?

Would this be something addressed in the upcoming SP2?
