Default 2 Machines 2 OS - 2 Networks??????

I would like to remote desktop a Dell 266 with dear legacy programs from my
Vista Home Premium Gateway. The Dell's OS is Windows 2000 Pro. The gateway
is on a wireless net. I cannot find wireless hardware for the Dell. Is it
possible to set up a wired net between the two machines still keeping the
Gateway's wireless function? Is it possible to remote desktop using a
crossover ethernet or to I need a router?

Thank you,
Jorge I

First of all, the windows 2000 pro, can not be remote desktop host. You can access each without changing any thing if they are in the same subnet. If you have in the different subnet, you may need to modify the routing table to access the. This link may help,
