32 to 64 bit upgrade?

Is it possible to upgrade from the 32-bit version of Windows XP to the 64 bit
version of Windows Vista without losing everything, or must a clean install
be performed?

I currently have a 64 bit processor running a 32 bit version of Windows XP -
can I upgrade to the 64 bit version of Windows Vista without running a clean
install?

No, upgrades from Windows XP x86 to Vista x64 are not supported. Windows XP
SP2 does support upgrades to Windows Vista x86 though.
