1 - it is a community release therefore shouldn't be treated as afinished commercial product (there may or may not be problems, there
probably will not be full functionality until other manufacturers supply
Vista drivers)
2 - on a partitioned drive both 32 bit (on one partition) and 64 bit (on
another partition) run well on this machine.
3 - Beta 2 32 bit was far slower than 64 bit on this machine. So was
RC1 until activation and an update.
4 - while 32 is almost as fast as 64 bit on this machine it seems to hit
longer pauses more often than the 64 bit version does
5 - there is a "ready for Vista" check that may give the answers you seek
6 - this machine runs a dual core AMD 4800+ thingy, four Seagate
platters and 3 Gig RAM

It should do fine on 64-bit. The question is, are you ready for hardwareand software compatibility issues? You will more than likely run into more
compatibility issues with the 64-bit version than the 32-bit. Your hardware
and devices must have digitally signed drivers on 64-bit Vista. Make sure
your hardware has digitally signed drivers first before getting the 64-bit.
Most 32-bit apps should run on the x64 platform, but 16-bit apps will not.
If you have any 16-bit apps, you may want to stay with 32-bit.

How do i find out if my Graphics card has these drivers availible, i know my
mohterboard is compatible.

I wouldn't worry about the video card. I'm pretty sure it will work rightaway with Vista using Microsoft's included drivers - even on x64.

Initially i install 32 bit app. From hardware information I discovered thatmy cpu supports 64bit. But when I try to install 64bit it responds me that
it cannot install this version over existing.

Yep, clean install for Vista x64, you cannot upgrade from x86 versions ofWindows.

I made this same error of installing as 32-bit when I should have selectedthe 64-bit option, but now I can't get re-installs to offer that option.
I boot up from the Vista install disk, choose a Custom Install, go to Hard
Drive options and choose the format disk approach.
But the Vista installer automatically proceeds with 32-bit architecture. No
choice is ever presented, the way it was in the first clean install.
This is brand new build, so I don't have any data documents to lose, so I
don't mind completely erasing everything on the disk. Have I missed the way
in which a clean install is initiated?
