A preview of this newsgroup in a few months

If you want to see a preview of this vista.general newsgroup...
how it will be when RTM will be released to the public
go to the internetexplorer.general newsgroup

read what the PEOPLE have to say about IE7.

1 out of 20 have something good to say..
the rest is very angry with microsoft.
Many say that MS should never had released it...

Now magnify that about say... 1000000 times
and then you will have the reaction to vista....

See what the people have to say.... especially the dorky MVPs in here

The greatest request from the customers when they get a new computer with
vista preinstalled, is if they can trade their license for a XP version

You don't believe me? Wait and see

It will be harder for so many people to get Vista in such a short time as
the IE7 download. So I expect it won't be as busy as you think.
They also have to buy Vista if they aren't doing the trial thing first, that
will slow things down compared to the IE7 installations.

Don't forget all the computers being sold from now through Christmas
have a free upgrade to Vista, so they won't have to buy it again, just
get the free upgrade.

And we can all ignore Microfox because he's just a troll looking for
attention...that will get rid of 90% of the whining and complaints in
here...

Well, the view you are giving is somewhat slanted. Few come to the
newsgroups to tell everyone how everything is going just fine, they only
come here when there is a problem. So the percentage of complaints vs praise
is fairly well skewed in favor of the complainers. But yeah, come Jan-Feb,
there will be a deluge of problem posts, most of which will be with dealing
with changes from Win2000 or XP. Same thing as has happened with each new OS
release.

Wow but aren't we cynical. I'm certain that there will be a bit of a surge in
posts here when Vista is released, but one million? No. I think you're of
these people who will never give Microsoft credit for anything and that
you'll always find SOMETHING to gripe about.
