"Dell A920" is personal AIO printer with 32-bit Vista drivers available at:
http://support.dell.com/support/down...WW1&hidlang=en

Hello

It was all right with XP but now that I have VISTA there is a big problem...

Thank you for your help but I could not find in your list any driver for the
"all-in-one centre".
I have tryed all the drivers of the list, none of them take in charge the
whole possibilities of my A920 :

*** impossible to use the all-in-one centre with VISTA ! ***

I cannot use my A920 as a xerox or as a scan, such a pity, I can only use
it as a printer !

Laurent

There are drivers at the Dell website for Vista 32 bit.
http://support.dell.com/support/down...&catid=&impid=

If this link doesn't work, click on Support at the very top right of
www.dell.com. On the next page, click on Drivers and follow the Java popup
until you can select the A920. In the box Operating System, use the Down
Arrow to bring up Vista 32 bit. Download and install the correct driver
package.

I just went through this with my A944 AIOC, I could print documents, but
the scanner wouldn't respond - all I would get is an AIOC.exe is not
responding message.
I'll tell you what I did, and hopefully it will be helpful, though my
printer model is a bit different. I suspect that the key is getting all
the old XP drivers cleaned out - even if your Vista implementation was
clean (vs and upgrade from XP), if you used the Dell AIOC Installation
CD, you're going to get the old XP stuff.
First go to the Dell's website for Home computers. Find Drivers and
Downloads (under support). You will have several options to enter
information to locate your product - it will be easiest to use the
Service Tag option, which is likely located on the back of your printer
on the same sticker as the Serial Number and Model numbers.
When the next page displays with the listing of applicable downloads
displays, make sure the operating system is correct (mine defaulted to
XP first) - if not, change it to Vista in the drop down list, and only
the Vista downloads will display.
Download the relevant files per their instructions. At least one should
be the new drivers for Vista.
Once downloaded, run the setup from the directory where the new drivers
were downloaded (in my case it was C:\dell\drivers\R147270), BUT select
the UNINSTALL option and run it (you will be prompted to unplug your USB
cable). And reboot.
Then go back to the Dell Site under Support and do a site search for a
file called D944PUXU_A00.exe. This file will remove any remaining
related XP files that might be lingering. Click on the file to download
it - it should automatically execute and will hopefully say the removal
was successful. Reboot again, if prompted.
Then plug your USB cable back in and when you are prompted that the
system has Identified New Hardware and is asking about installing
drivers, just hit Cancel. (Make sure your Dell AIOC CD is not in your CD
Drive). Lastly, go back and run the SETUP program in the directory
where the new drivers were installed, and this time select to Install
the printer. This finally did the trick. The AIOC came up promptly (once
past the first time initialization) and the Scanner works again AND I
can still print.
I fought with this all weekend and what I didn't do until now, was
clean up all the old XP files. Good luck!
