Accept Active X

Posted: 02-23-2004, 09:33 PM
I am currently running windows xp home. I recently
purchased a new printer "HP 6110xi". While installing the
software that came with my printer I kept getting an error
message regarding accepting Active X. I tried to download
hp diagnostics from the HP Website I KEEP getting the same
error message "You are using XP or 2000 - but do not have
administrative privileges to accept active x components or
driver downloads - or because your internet security
options are set to disable downloading or scripting of
Active X components"
When I loaded windows xp on my computer I assigned myself
as the administrator will since its been almost a year ago
I have forgot my password to log on as the administrator.
Should I uninstall windows xp and start all over HELP I
CAN'T PRINT
