Adaptec easy cd caused XP conflict,uninstalled but...

I Installed an old version of adaptec's easy cd creator
(4.01) on my new XP system.

I was told that it could cause a major problem and that
the drivers were disabled.

I uninstalled the adaptec program and changed it for a New
Nero cd burning prog.

After a while i got it running but i keep getting the
original message about adaptec's drivers being a system
danger.

Everything seems to work fine now even though XP states
drivers shutdown for the CDRW.

Does anyone know of this conflict and how to remedy the
annoying popup on every boot???

Try useing search to make sure all is deleted.
You might need to open wmp,tools,options,file types,
uncheck the cd writing box if you plan to use nero for
copying cds in wmp.Why use a third party cd program
when xp already has its own?
