add domain administrators into local administrators group from GPO

Posted: 09-26-2003, 11:34 PM
Hi everyone can you help me with this?
We have an ads with two domain (domain A and domain B),
all the workstation are XP or 2000.
From domain B we edit the domain gpo as: computer
configuration -> restrict group and assign the domain
admins group from domain A as the local administrators
group.
It is working for all the 2000 box but none for the XP.
I check the winlogon.log file from %windir%\security and
it has the following message:

Configure Group Membership...
Configure DOMAINA\Domain Admins.
No system mapping was found for T7-
NTSERVERS\Domain Admins.

Group Membership configuration was completed
successfully.

Any suggestion for why the XP did not work but the 2000
box.

Many thanks in advance
