Adding another Domain Group in winXP Prof Helper's Group

Posted: 01-04-2005, 10:01 AM
Hi,

I have a WINNT Server domain with WINXP Prof client machines. Currently only
Domain Administrators are added in Offer Remote Assistance Helper Group.
I want to add another domain group into that so that users which are Not
Domain Admins, they also can Offer Remote assistance to users.
I can add another group manually by Gpedit.msc-->Admin templates--> etc etc
but I have got around 200 machines on which I need to do this.

Domain Policy I don't think will help in this case as I have a WINNT Server
Domain.
I am running a VB login script for all users.

I tried to manually add value in registry
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\Terminal Services\raunsolicit" /v
vtgukdom01\1 /t REG_SZ /d DomainName\Group Name
but that also doesn't work.
Even if I add the group in registry manually still user of that group are
not able to offer remote assistance.

Any help, much appreciated.

TIA,
Sholu.
