Default Admin Password

When XPPro was set up on my computer.. the person setting it up put in a
password.. which I later changed to something else. I neglected to write it
down. I don't even know if I'll ever need it.. but, in the event I do.. How
can I recover from this?

This is a legit question and I'd be happy to either bring the computer to a
tech or send the hard drive to Microsoft or whoever.. but.. is it possible
to recover from this brain fart?

Thanks... I'll see what I can find. Is this something that a computer tech
outfit would likely have?

Try this link;
http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/lostpass.htm

Also most computer shops should be able to help...for a fee.

My son was given a used computer but was not informed of
the admin password. Is there any way to get this off the
system so that we can clean it up
Thanks

Do a safe boot which will give you full access to the control panel.
Open use accounts and proceed
