Admin privileges

I've only got 16 colors. When I try to access display
properties through the desktop, taskbar, or through
control panel I get roughly the same messages: display
panel turned off by administrator ~or~ access denied,
contact administrator. This happens even when booted in
safe mode and logged in as administrator. HELP!!

Admin Privileges

Some new programs I have seemed to install correctly, but
when trying to bring them up, indicate access denied and
suggesting I log in as Administrator. I have installed
them from an XP Admin Acct (they won't open in any account
on the computer) so can't figure what to do next. Any
suggestions? thanks.

When you are trying to run the programs are you doing it
with an account that has Administrator priviledges?
Which programs are you trying to run?

Admin Privileges

Yes, trying to run from same account as the one which I
installed it in, which has Admin privileges. Both
programs are games for my kids, SIMCITY 4 Deluxe and Age
of Mythology. I am also having difficulty installing
certain Critical Updates. Could that be related?
