Default Administration Passwords

I bought an older computer from a school district which has administrative
passwords. I bought a wireless card for it and found out that I didn't have
privileges to install anything. I wanted to restore windows 2000 again but
I can't because it wants me to log in as a administrator but I have no
password. If there is any other information that anyone needs to get a
better idea of what I am saying let me know. Does anyone know how I can get
around this situation?

Default Re: Administration Passwords

Mark;
The password is Case Sensitive.
Check Caps Lock and try various of Capital combinations.

Or
Reboot to Safe Mode, select Administrator, leave password blank.
Then go to User Accounts in Control Panel.
Select the user and change the password.
If you are using Windows XP Pro and have encrypted data, you may
permanently lose access to the encrypted data.

Here are other options:

Another option is to install Windows XP on another partition and take
Ownership of your data.
You could also perform another installation on the same partition,
although this is not a permanent fix and it is recommended to perform
a Clean Installation after retrieving your data.
