| Try this: Start > Run > "%SystemRoot%\system32\compmgmt.msc /s" without the quotes. Does it get there then? | I experienced that too ! Your admin tools should be located both in the programs in your start menu, and in the control panel. Check if they're missing from both locations. Anyway, install an admin pack, it solved my problem... and, who knows, may come usefull... Quote:

| Right click on the blue part of the start up bar and click properties, click on the start menu tab and click customise --> next click the advanced tab and in the Start menu items scroll box scroll down till you see System Administrative Tools, then choose the option to display them on both All programmes menu and start menu--- -----or which ever suits you. Hope this helps.... Quote:

| They're typically installed by default. Right click the Start button, select Properties, Customize. You'll find the option to show them on the Start Menu there. -- Doug Knox, MS-MVP Windows XP/ Windows Smart Display Win 95/98/Me/XP Tweaks and Fixes http://www.dougknox.com -------------------------------- Associate Expert ExpertZone - http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone -------------------------------- Please reply only to the newsgroup so all may benefit.
