If you didn't rename the default Administrator account, you can use that
account to reset your custom admin account password. In WinXP Pro, hit
ctrl+alt+delete at the Welcome screen. This will bring up the classic
Win2k logon prompt, allowing you to log on as "Administrator". Assuming
you know the password, you can then log on and administer the computer.
In WinXP Home, you must restart in Safe Mode to access the Administrator
account; the password is left blank by default.
Failing these methods, there are some utilities that will allow you to
reset the Administrator password. I will leave the details of those to
a more knowledgeable person.
