Default All my connections in network neighborhood are gone

I booted my laptop this evening and all my connetcions in
network neighborhood are gone. When I refreshed I got an
error message stating that windoes could not see any of
my adapters and to make sure "network connections"service
was running, which it was. I have tried everything I
know including uninstalling and reinstalling adapters,
creating new users, and trying to revert to restore
points, none of which worked. I have been using this pc
with a fresh install of xp pro for less than a week. I
even tried adding connections, including vpn's and
nothing shows up.

The only connection that I have working is my wireless
sprint card. This connection used to be visible and its
also gone, but it works, Im assuming due to the fact that
its run from its own software.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

HAd a similar problem after an XP Pro upgrade. Microsoft
helped me out and it turned out to be a corrupt file in
RASMAN. You could try the following I copied from the
email they sent me recording the steps taken.

Action: Tried to create a dialup connection.
Result: The options are greyed out.
Cause: The computer's RASMAN service is corrupted.
Resolution: Resolved. Deleted the corrupted keys and
restarted the computer.
