| Why not set up an area in Control Panel of all the security enhancements and allow the Administrator / Administrators Group to select which security features to turn on and off versus looking all over the place to modify security features like Network connections, file accesses, program installations, etc?? The way everything is locked up by default and with a whole new look, people and IT pros will have a rough time configuring this to work in their environments. One of these threads said that you may possibly need to turn off UAC in Windows Defender in order for the only administrator account to grant full rights to files and folders in certain areas for itself. Though this may be a hacker-proof concept, it makes using and administering Vista a nightmare and not user friendly at all. Put it all in one place and allow the administrators to decide what to turn on and off as far as security goes. It shouldn't be this obscure or take a long time to figure out where to go and what to do! ---------------- This post is a suggestion for Microsoft, and Microsoft responds to the suggestions with the most votes.
