Alt + Tab application switching

It seem weird to me that when I press "Alt + Tab" to switch between
applications. The "Desktop" also appears as seperate application. (I know
Vista is running Explorer Shell as explorer.exe but still).

I think it will confuse user even more and they will think that there is
some application running on desktop that they couldn't see. If they would
like to do that why don't they list the "Sidebar" and "Gadgets" and all other
stuff in the notification as well?

I say just get rid of the "desktop" in the Alt + Tab.
