Altec Lansing ADA880 PC speaker system

When I had WinMe installed, the speaker system worked fine.
After I upgraded to WinXP, only the subwoofer and the
midranges work, but there's no sound coming out of the
tweeters. I have looked into the sound utility in XP's
Control Panel, but couldn't get anything done. Have tested
all the speakers on other computers and they all work. Can
anyone help? Thank you.

>Perhaps your sound card has a malfunction, try replacing
your sound card with a friend's to see if it will work or
not...
