amd processor

i have a amd processor 1800+ but the computer is not
reading it as that until i adjust the frequency of the
cpu and the dram from 100mhz to 133mhz. the problem is
that after i set that the computer runs fine for alittle
bit then it crashes what can i do to stop it from
crashing after adjusting the freqency?

What Motherboard and Ram are you using? Also, Wattage of your Power
Supply.
