ANONYMOUS logon to fax server

I can install the fax client and the shared fax printer on my PC but if I do
not have a local user account on the fax server which duplicates my local PC
login, then I get this error when trying to print to the fax

Send Fax Wizard
---------------------------
Fax server information cannot be retrieved.
The Fax wizard will close now.

It (the wizard) starts but never gets to the page asking for the phone number.
If I create a local account on the server with my username and password, it
all works fine.
How do I get it to work without this local account OR to get it to
authenticate instead of the wizard crashing out?
