Anti Virus

Posted: 09-30-2007, 06:53 PM
When I purchased my laptop recently I was sold a Norton 360 package which
includes a variety of things and I thought one of those things was Virus
Protection. However, it appears that this wasn't included as I continued to
get Windows Security Alerts saying that I was not protected! I have since
purchased from the Norton site a further package which I believe I have
installed correctly (according to my machine) but I am still getting the same
messages (bottom right hand corner of screen) saying to check my anti virus
is working. I have attemped to install again only to be told that the
program is already installed. Please help a very confused young lady!!!

IT is very simple to fix,all you have to do is :-
1.go to symantec and locate the "norton removal tool".
2.save it to your desktop.
3.run the tool,by double clicking on your new desktop item.
4.re-install and configure your settings in nis2007.
don`t forget to reboot after you uninstall and after you re-install.
this fixes the pop up issue of the security center.
email me back if you have any other issues or how you got on.
o.k.

Thanks for the information, however I can't locate the removal tool for
starters. Any suggestions?
