Anyone? Os2 Partition with Active Partition being XP Home

Posted: 01-05-2004, 07:31 PM
Recently encountered a crashed WinXP home on an IBM
Netvista workstation that supports a quickload of a
secondary partition that keeps a 'backup' of XP on the
hard drive in a hidden partition that runs under OS2.

Allegedly, the crashed drive can reload itself on a
keystroke by accessing the hidden partition. However this
does not seem to be the case from a lost track 0 style of
error.

Anyone encounter a workaround for this, since IBM does not
provide the end user with a Windows XP CD?

Drive is a Maxtor and have tried drive mgr to see if I can
access partition, all I get is a read error on both
partitions (OS2 and XP) as if track 0 is blown. Drive is
NTFS except for hidden part.
