This is not responsive to your question, but your question about AOL makes
me wonder if you are planning to upgrade XP to Vista on a production system?

Reports are, it does not work. So contact AOL about updates or patches to
Vista or any plants for Vista support in the near future.

Anyone with sufficient intelligence to use a BETA should not be using AOL.

perhaps MSFT should put an AOL filter on so they can't download it...

If you can log into AOL maybe from a different PC with XP, try keyword BETA.
It is possible that AOL maybe working on something that is Vista
compantible.

No there isn't.

Keyword BETA used to be a special place. Now its like anyone can go there
beta.aol.com
The impression I get is that they may not even care.
