i would just like to check if aol 9 would run on windows vista before i
install it for the first time as i am not sure if would cause problems but
the vista checker say contact aol and i have done this but so far no asnwer

This is not responsive to your question, but your question about AOL makes
me wonder if you are planning to upgrade XP to Vista on a production system?

If you can log into AOL maybe from a different PC with XP, try keyword BETA.
It is possible that AOL maybe working on something that is Vista
compantible.

Keyword BETA used to be a special place. Now its like anyone can go there
beta.aol.com
The impression I get is that they may not even care.
