| I have read a lot of tweak guides, but I'm not sure of the expertise of the writers. My question is does anyone know of a tweak guide written by someone at Microsoft ? I would like to find a guide to which apps can be turned off, also what service can be turned off. Thanks for any help. | Guest

| My suggestion is to leave the settings in Services as they are. There are unstated consequences in turning things off to "speed up" the system, such as disabling Cryptographic Services. That'll make it basically impossible to install programs, for instance. One thing you can do, if you're the sole user, is turn off Fast User Switching. Unless you have multiple accounts/users, it is unnecessary. Otherwise, let the system take care of itself. -- Chris H.
