I got an Asus A8N SLI mobo and 2 SATA harddrives. I have tried to install
XP64 under RAID 0 but i keep getting errors. I inserted XP64 instal, pressed
F6, installed the drivers that came with the MOBO, clicked enter and then i
got a windows has crashed error message. What gives? Help Please. Contact me
on my MSN messenger @ maratkul@hotmail.com if you think you can help

Are the drivers that came with your motherboard actually x64 (64-bit)
drivers?
Probably not since we have only release the x64 products a day ago.
Go to the manufacturers web site and see if they have released x64 drivers
yet - if not then ask them when they will.
All drivers on x64 Windows must be new x64 (64-bit); you cannot use a 32-bit
driver with a 64-bit OS.

Never post your real e-mail address to a public newsgroup. Do not post to a
newsgroup and then expected people to e-mail you the responses. You should
come back here to read them

Yes the drivers were 64bit and no they still did not work. Is the real XP64
already out? I though that the beta was closed for the release next month.
Can you give me a link on this?

anyway, i even tried installing a standart 32bit XP with 32bit drivers so
when XP started loading i hit F6 then S then chose driver one then enter then
S again for the 2nd driver and then enter and enter. I noticed that the set
up started installing the drivers then it said Windows is now loading but at
that point my pc restarted thus loosing everything i have done. When it got
back into windows i checked and the drivers were not seleced. If i just
continued and installed the drivers on one of the disks after formating it
then after the PC restart it would either go back into the setup again or
tell me that there is no OS if the disk is not enserted. Please help
