Default Audigy 2 drivers

have got the vista beta drivers from creative, but no matter how many times i
install, when i restart all i get is 'no audio output device is installed'

Have tried 3 other sound cards and i can't for the life of me get any sound
working on this computer.

The creative sound card worked super fine on xp before the vista upgrade.

Am running vista build 5384 if that means any thing to you guys?

The Creative drivers are for Beta 1...as you found out, they do not work on
Beta 2.
I would suggest you SEARCH this forum with the word creative. There have
been a few people who say they have been able to install XP drivers by
jumping through hoops...

Care to post the steps? I have an Audigy 2ZS and my initial attempts to
install failed, so I went back to onboard audio until they come out with new
drivers...
How about the firewire connection?

Download:
(32bit Vista)

http://files2.europe.creative.com/ma...88/0xBDA41C2A/
SBAX_PCDVTBETA_US_2_08_0002.exe

Run file.

Reboot. If you get a BSOD with the first reboot just reboot again and
it'll be fine.

I cannot get Audio 2ZS to install either. ''No audio device installed". I
know it is because it works in XP on my other drive. It also worked in Vista
Beta 2 when I did an up grade install. I now have a clean install and no
sound yet.

What is the ''onboard audio"? - that is new to me.

Thanks for the info.

Bill

What is your motherboard? You can visit the mobo or computer maker's
website and it should tell what the integrated sound device is. Someone
here may be able to help also.
