Audio Driver Problems

Posted: 12-23-2003, 09:25 AM
I recently had my computer fixed, got it back from the
shop and the Audio performance was very very bad, In
games, music and such. I think its the drivers cause I
unplugged my speakers and tried headphones. It was the
same thing, so it must be in the computer. It says my
driver is unsigned. Also My device is Avance AC97 Audio
(it says something about for VIA) And thats all I know.
If anyone could send me an email or just reply here, i
would appreciate it.

Uninstalling the audio, including the drivers may help. Sometimes during
maintenance or an update things get "moved" around or re-ordered in a bad
way. Removing and then installing the audio and drivers again will many
times clean things.
