Default Auto connection at windows Vista Log-On

Hi, I'm using a PPPoE broadband connection and I would like to know if
there's a way to make it so it connect to the network automatically as I
log-in to windows instead of me having to go through the whole connect to a
network procedure everytime.

Also, I noticed that the auto-connect don't work for me. (I.e.: you would
expect that when Firefox or Internet explorer ask for the net, the connection
dialog would pop-up)

Once I'm connected, everything is well but it's confusing for people who
uses my computer to have to manually connect every time they boot my computer
up.

Anyway probably something really simple but I did search the forums and did
not find an answer.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Default RE: Auto connection at windows Vista Log-On

Here's how to make it connect on it's own.

1. Go to Start > Connect To. Right-click the connection in the list (the
PPoE connection you usually use) and go to properties. Click Continue or
type your Admin password if required.

2. From the Options tab, turn off the "Prompt for Name and Password"
option. Optionally, you can turn off the "Display progress while
connecting", but most people want to know if it's actually connecting while
they wait. ;-)
Click OK to close the dialog when you're done.

Cancel out of the Connect To screen (do not connect yet).

3. Open Internet Properties in Control Panel (or, go to Internet Options
from Internet Explorer or right-click Internet Explorer in the start menu and
go to Internet Properties).

4. From the "Connections" tab, make sure your PPoE connection is set as
default, and make sure it says "Always dial my default connection" under the
list.

5. Click OK, then try to open a webpage. It should automatically dial,
connect, and show the webpage anytime someone tries to access the web from
then on.
