Automatic Logon in Domain (check it out)

Posted: 10-31-2007, 03:01 AM
In XP I have no problems.

When you go to the registry and set the DefaultUsername and DefaultPassword
keys to what you want, it works well in XP.

When I do it in Vista (business) it tells me that the username is incorrect
and displays the username with .\ in front of it.

example: .\username

I even tried changing the actual username to reflect that both in the
registry and then actually renaming the accout to that.

Any ideas.....hope some of you will try it to see for yourself.

I figured it out.

You have to put in the DefaultDomainName as well.

Didn't have to do this in XP for some reason.
