automatic switching of sound output device

Posted: 07-25-2003, 04:07 PM
Recently purchased RCA Lyra sound device which allows
playing of MP3 files to be radio transmitted to my home
stereo system. The files are organized in the MusicMatch
program. In order for the sound to be heard from the
stereo system, I have to manually change the sound card
settings to the Lyra output from my internal sound card.
Is there any way to automate this process? I do not
always want the sound to go to the stereo; many times for
daily computing I will use the desktop speakers only.
Can the XP program automatically recognize what sound
card to use?
