Bad Block errors on bootup

Posted: 12-02-2003, 03:14 PM
I am getting the following error messages when booting my
pavilion zd7058cl.

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Disk
Event Category: None
Event ID: 7
Date: 12/2/2003
Time: 9:02:09 AM
User: N/A
Computer: PAVILION
Description:
The device, \Device\Harddisk1\D, has a bad block.

Be aware that at the time I had a smartmedia card inserted
from my digital camera and it looks as if Windows tried to
access it during the boot phase. Removing the smart media
and rebooting solved the problem. Just a heads up for
anyone else that might be having the same problem.
