bad spool caller

i'm running windows xp home edition. it performs a disk
check, then reboots and this continues until i shut the pc
down. i'm unable to boot normally, into safe mode, or to
a DOS prompt. the only information i could obtain is the
following error message: bad spool caller. any
suggestions?
