Basic to Premium

Posted: 02-28-2007, 03:56 AM
I bought a new pc that had Windows Vista Basic with a cd to upgrade. But I
went to Wal Mart and bought my own Windows Vista Premium Upgrade. I started
installing it and when it tried to boot windows, I get the Windows Error
Recovery window. It says it maybe a recent hardware or software change and
tells me to restart with the installion disc in, then choose language and
then Repair the computer. When I restart it, it goes in a loop back to the
Windows Error Recovery window. It won't let me start in Safe Mode either or
any othe the other options. It just returns to the same Wndows Recovery
Window. Any ideas how I can fix this mess?

Call the support number for the brand of computer you bought.
I think that's going to be the easiest way for you to fix the mess.
