Default Beta Client response time from Microsoft

I have read in this newsgroup that when you submit a Vista bug report
using the Microsoft Beta Client, you will receive an email from
Microsoft providing an ID number (which I cannot use, because I am not a
Connect member...) and some kind of status of the report. What is a
typical response time for this email? I submitted several reports about
a week ago, and I have heard nothing.

Hi,

I submitted several on the Beta2 test phase. It took about 4 weeks before I
was flooded with emails all at once.

Neil.

It is not like MS acknowledges bug reports. You will only get an email when
some step has been taken in processing the bug. If the bug is marked by MS
as a duplicate you may not see an email for a very long time.

I am still receiving emails from time to time from bug reports I made back
on build 5118. These are simply status updates and not resolutions, but it
just goes to show that it is entirely unpredictible. The last ones I
received like that was when MS cleaned out all the old reports in
preparation for RC1.
