Beta tester

Posted: 07-24-2006, 03:18 PM
I signed up, download, burned to DVD and tried to install Microsoft Vista
Beta 2.

It will not install on either my 6 computers I have, I crashes at the
beginning. All 6 computers I have are MS Vista ready, that just proof that I
will "NOT" buy this operating system in the future. That is a major bug.

Since the Beta program for MS Vista Beta 2 is closed there no sense to
continue with this operating system.

Have you tried disconnecting all external peripherals, i.e., USB
modem/router, printers, scanners etc prior to attempting to install Vista?

Going back to what I said, I had tried 6 computers. One of them was fresh
out-of-the-box, this computer had no operating system install and it was
VISTA ready (sticker on the CPU). The only devices I connected to this
computer was : Keyboard, mouse, monitor.

Again, I will NOT buy this operating system (MS VISTA) in the future, it has
to many bugs. LINUX IS WAY BETTER!

Just curious; how many Beta versions of Linux have you used that did not
contain glitches, errors , incomplete documentation, etc...

My favourite so far: Unknown device has been correctly installed.

I don't use Beta versions of Linux, full retail only!

Linux is faster, no errors what so ever and trouble free, you get tons of
documentation with the retail versions. The best part it cost way less than
MS operating systems.

Then why are you comparing "full retail only" experiences with a Windows
Beta experience?

As Vista is in beta it is expected to cause problems. What's the point of
beta testers if it is not to try to find these bugs. I moan regularly about
beta products, but only because they are not doing what i expect them to do.
If they simply don't work or don't install i just wait until a build comes
along that will work or install. It's all part of a beta testers day.
As for Linux you can forget it. But that is my opinion.
